Here are recommendations for good restaurants in Prague. These restaurants are accustomed to tourists and have English menus.
The food comes with our highest recommendation, if you don't agree let us know about it. If you're adventurous and want to explore non-touristy restaurants, there are a few things worth knowing:
1. A common impression : among visitors to the Czech Republic is that table service seems less friendly, or attentive than what they're used to. Please don't take it to heart, Czechs are friendly people, but it is considered professional and respectful to be slightly impersonal, especially for a waiter.
2. You can expect : the following at a Czech restaurant: after being seated, a waiter takes your order for drink, then food. Silverware and napkins are brought, standing in a cup or plate. There's a basket of bread, for which you might be charged, unless you don't touch it. Even then, it may appear on the bill, but the charge is usually not more than 20 CZK. You may need to ask for what seem like basic items, such as ice in your drink, butter for bread, or ketchup and mustard for fries. Some restaurants charge for such items - even for salad dressing.
3. Just a warning: fellow diners may be smoking throughout your entire meal. It's not considered particularly rude, so if you are against cigarettes, it would be a good idea to mention it when you are seated. Not many restaurants have designated smoking areas, as smoking is very common and tolerated. If the restaurant has no outdoor tables or well-ventilated areas, perhaps it is not the ideal place to enjoy a meal.
4. Lastly, don't feel overlooked if after your meal you are not given the bill right away. It's acceptable to spend hours talking and drinking at the table, after the dishes are cleared. So if you want to leave, you should ask for the check. "Zaplatime" means "We will pay now" and "Ucet prosim" (oo-chet pro-seem) means "Check, please." The bill is typically given to the man at the table, because it is customary that the man always pays.
5. Tipping: the basic 10-15% is appreciated, but not mandatory. Leave cash on the table if you think the service was good, or say "Dobry" when paying your waiter, it means "Good," as in, keep the change. Or, when handing over the money, just say how much cash you would like back. Some restaurants add a "service fee" to the final amount, so the tip is included. If you are unsure, just ask. Also, if you are unsure about any items on the check, it is wise to ask. It can be hard to figure out exactly what you're being charged for, and "mistakes" are not uncommon.

One of the nicest view at the glorious Prague Castle and Petřín can be seen from all windows of the restaurant Parnas, which is situated in the basement of the Lažanský palace and has been built 140 years ago by Earl Prokops.

Restaurant U FLEKU
Křemencova 11, Praha 1
Opening hours: daily 9:00 – 23:00
It is not really necessary to introduce the “U Fleků” brewery and restaurant. Perhaps everybody who has walked down the Křemencová street has kept in mind a richly decorated clock on the brewery’s facade that asks everybody to visit any of the several rooms of the restaurant. And everybody who has come in has kept in mind, or better on the tongue, a delicious and unique taste of “U Fleků” 13° lager. Up to now the lager has been brewed according to old recipes, but in a newly furnished setting with the same care as in the time of our great grandfathers. The “U Fleků” brewery celebrates its 500th anniversary since it was founded in 1499.
The atmosphere of the old “U Fleků” building is emphasized in the individual rooms and halls of the restaurant by the interior decoration and stylish furnishings. Starting with the most famous and most original one, called “Akademie” (Academy), where in the last century famous figures of Czech history used to meet, through “Václavka” with its stained glass, to “Jitrnice” (Sausage) with a Gothic vault and to “Rytířský sál” (Knights’ Hall) furnished in romantic style. In its eight rooms and halls the “U Fleků” brewery restaurant can serve more than 1200 guests at once, either in the intimate setting of the “Kufr” (Suitcase) or “Akademie” or in the “Kabaret” (Cabaret) hall with 200 seats, where the “U Fleků” cabaret takes place.
The history and modern times of the “U Fleků” building is diverse. For one it represents a pilgrim place of Prague and Czech beer drinkers, for another it represents an interesting historic sight from a tourist point of view - one of the most visited within the country. “U Fleků” is without a doubt the most famous Prague pub. Today it is a place of culinary experiences. Our staff in our newly equipped kitchen can satisfy the requirements of even the pickiest gourmets with their offer of traditional old Czech dishes.

The majority of people subconsciously connect Brazil with the carnival, samba and mixed drinks. However, this view is starting to take turn towards wine, which popularity is on rise in this country. Consequently, Brazil is becoming a wine destination and is gaining on the world around it with mile steps.
At the present time more than 78 000 hectares of vineyards are planted and the planted areas are spreading due to planned planting in new regions. A vast majority of all Brazilian vineyards lie in the South in the country of Rio Grande Sul, where there are four out of the five most important areas - Vale dos Vinhedos, Serra Gaúcha, Campos de Cima da Serra and Campanha. To visit the fifth region of Vale do S?o Francisco we would have to get relocated as far as to the Equator, into a tropical climate of the northern country of Bahia.
